Premier Padel 2026: The Complete Guide to the Tour, Calendar and Official Courts

What Is Premier Padel?

Premier Padel is the world’s leading professional padel circuit. Governed by the International Padel Federation (FIP), the Premier Padel Tour attracts the highest-ranking players from around the world.

Padel is one of the fastest-growing sports worldwide, with over 35 million players today. Since its 2022 debut, Premier Padel has scaled at breakneck speed. The circuit has expanded from 8 inaugural tournaments to a robust 26-event schedule across five continents in 2026.

Premier Padel allows elite padel players to compete for the number one spot in padel. Players have the opportunity to win up to €525,000 and increase their ranking by up to 2,000 points. Accumulating ranking points is essential for players. It allows them to increase their FIP global ranking and enter high-performance competitions such as Majors and the Premier Padel Finals.

Differing from other circuits, Premier Padel has high-quality standards. It upholds the highest technical standards, so every match reflects the sport’s elite professional status. While following the core tenets of the International Padel Federation (FIP), the circuit has a specific competitive framework:

  • Match Format: All professional bouts are played in doubles format.
  • Scoring System: Traditional tennis scoring is utilized (15, 30, 40, Game).
  • The “Golden Point”: To maintain high-intensity play, a “Star Point” (Golden Point) is triggered after two advantages at deuce (40-40). The winner of the subsequent point secures the game.
  • Service Regulations: Players are allotted two serves, which must be performed underarm. The ball must be bounced behind the service line before impact. The serve must land within the service box diagonally opposite the server.

By strictly enforcing these regulations, Premier Padel ensures a consistent, high-performance environment. This distinguishes it as the global benchmark for the sport.

How Premier Padel Works in 2026 (Competition Explained)

The Premier Padel Categories

Majors

This is the grand slam level of Premier Padel. Consisting of four tournaments in four major cities, only the top-ranking athletes compete in this category. They have the chance to win €525,000 and gain 2,000 ranking points.

P1

A high-level circuit, consisting of 12 tournaments where elite players have the opportunity to compete for €250,000. Winners receive 1,000 points, and finalists receive 600 points.

P2

The lowest, most accessible category, which consists of 10 tournaments. Winners compete for 600 ranking points, and finalists receive 300 points.

The Premier Padel Final

At the end of the season, the top 16 FIP-ranked players over all three categories qualify to compete in the Premier Padel final.  The winners earn 1,500 ranking points. Usually, players qualify from the Majors, where more ranking points are awarded per match. Additionally, strong and consistent winners from P1 and P2 participate.

Qualification

Qualifying for the Premier Padel tour becomes more competitive each year as the sport continues its rapid global expansion. Qualifying for Premier Padel 2026 solely depends on the player’s FIP ranking. There are two draws that take place:

  • Main Draw: The 48 top-ranking teams qualify automatically.
  • Qualifying Draw: Players below the automatic qualification enter the qualifying stages to compete for remaining spots.
  • Wild Cards: A few spots are reserved as wild cards, where the local organisers in the host country can submit the best players of the host country to boost attendance at the games.

Points Allocation

To determine the 2026 FIP ranking, the system calculates the top 22 performances from each player’s 2025 Premier Padel season. Players earn points depending on how far they progress in the tournament. Points accumulated over the entire tour will determine the player's world ranking position. Players must then defend their scores the following year to retain their ranking.
